All Pekinites are encouraged to grow marigolds in pots, gardens, etc. Photo submissions and judging in late August! Winners to be announced and photos showcased at the Festival!

JFL Football Game

Sunday, September 6, 2026 — 1:00 PM

Join us for the “Kickoff to Marigold Week” on September 6th, 2026, at Pekin Memorial Stadium, marking the exciting start of the Pekin Marigold Festival Week!

Witness the future stars of Pekin Football as the Pekin JFL 14U teams take the field for thrilling games at 1pm and 3pm. This family-friendly event promises action-packed entertainment, community spirit, and a perfect prelude to a week filled with festivities celebrating Pekin’s beloved Marigold Festival. Don’t miss the chance to support our young athletes!

Taste of Pekin

Wednesday, September 9 – 5:00-8:00 PM
Downtown Pekin

Join us as we take over two blocks in downtown Pekin with an exciting lineup of food vendors from our hometown and surrounding communities. From pizza and tacos to sandwiches, hot dogs, nachos, popcorn, ice cream, and lemonade shake-ups! There’s something for every craving!

This family-friendly event also features The Gong Show!! Looking for fun kids activities? Stop by our Kids Tents for games the whole family will love.
Tickets will be available for purchase at the event for just $1 each.

Hosted by Pekin Main Street, the Taste of Pekin is the perfect way to kick off Marigold weekend. Don’t forget to visit the Marigold merchandise table for your festival gear- and be sure to bring your lawn chairs so you can relax and enjoy the evening of food, music, and fun!

Marigolden Breakfast

Sunday, September 7 – 8:00-10:00 AM

Before you hit up Mineral Springs Park on the morning of the Marigold Festival, stop by the Miller Center, 551 S. 14th Street in Pekin, across from the lagoon, between 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM on Sunday, September 13, 2026 for a breakfast fundraiser to support TCRC and Miller Center programs. The cost is $7.00 a plate, including pancakes, sausage, and coffee or juice.

Yoga in the Park

The calm before the storm. Join us on the grass near the pavilion as we relax and enjoy this outdoor yoga experience. This event is free! Just show up with a mat (or towel) and we will walk you through the rest.
