All Pekinites are encouraged to grow marigolds in pots, gardens, etc. Photo submissions and judging in late August! Winners to be announced and photos showcased at the Festival!

Come Downtown to sample some of Pekin’s restaurant specialties and enjoy the Lip Sync & Karaoke Contest. A Dragon Dust Cook-Off to submit your best recipe using Excalibur’s Bicentennial Special Spice, Dragon Dust.

3 on 3 Basketball

Sign up your 3rd-8th graders in a double elimination tournament at the Pekin Park Basketball Courts. Each team MUST have at least 2 players from a PCHS feeder school, and must have 4 players at or below the grade level they are entering for.

Join us for the “Kickoff to Marigold Week” on September 1st, 2024, at Pekin Memorial Stadium, marking the exciting start of the Pekin Marigold Festival Week! Witness the future stars of Pekin Football as the Pekin JFL 12U and 14U teams take the field for thrilling games at 1pm and 3pm. This family-friendly event promises action-packed entertainment, community spirit, and a perfect prelude to a week filled with festivities celebrating Pekin’s beloved Marigold Festival. Don’t miss the chance to support our young athletes!

Marigolden Breakfast

Miller Senior Center - Sunday, September 8

Before you hit up Mineral Springs Park on the morning of the Marigold Festival, stop by the Miller Center, 551 S. 14th Street in Pekin, across from the lagoon, between 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM on Sunday, September 8, 2024 for a breakfast fundraiser to support TCRC and Miller Center programs. The cost is $6.00 a plate, including pancakes, sausage, and cofee or juice.
