Turdle Bingo

$5 a Square
Herman the Turtle will graze all day and at 4 PM, the locations he pooped will be collected. People who chose those locations will be entered in a raffle for 50/50 proceeds!
Turdle Bingo is a fundraiser for The Expressions Dance Team at Classical Dance Academy.

Cardboard Boat Race

Marigold Mile
The Marigold Mile is a registered, one mile racing event along the Marigold Festival parade route, just before the parade begins on Saturday, September 6th. Runners can check in/register in the Vonderheide’s Floor Covering parking lot beginning at 9:00 AM. Runners will take off the 14th and Broadway starting point to kick off the parade at 10:00 AM sharp! The finish line is in 300 block of Court.
Not sure if you can make it one mile? Our youngest runner to complete the mile was 2 years old and our oldest was in his 80𝘴! WE 👏 KNOW 👏 YOU 👏 CAN 👏 DO 👏 IT 👏 And, Pekin’s parade enthusiasts will be cheering you all the way!
Lagoon Glow
Saturday, September 6th
Lanterns are available for a $10 minimum donation during the festival at the Pekin Area Chamber of Commerce, Marigold Festival Info Booth, Merch Tent, and Festival Committee Members. Proceeds will benefit a local charity. Write a memory or wish on your lantern, or honor a loved one. The lanterns will be cast into the lagoon at approximately 7:30 PM.
Pop-Up Museum
"Everett Dirksen: America's Team Player"
From his time playing football in Pekin to his legacy of bipartisan statesmanship, this interactive exhibit features captivating storytelling and historical artifacts, showcasing the team spirit of the honorable Mr. Marigold himself. The pop-up museum, presented by The Dirksen Congressional Center, will be held in the Pavilion on Saturday, September 6th and Sunday, September 7th from 12 PM to 3 PM.
