Community Spotlight

Standing alongside Art in the Park, Community Spotlight showcases services and groups within the Pekin area that offer outreach initiatives, nonprofit services and more. Check out how these business and organizations serve our communities!

Lagoon Glow

Lanterns are available for a $10 donation during the festival and all proceeds will benefit the Steven D. Skinner Performing Arts Venue construction project. Write a memory or wish on your lantern, or honor a loved one. The lanterns will be cast into the lagoon at dusk.

Marigold Mile

The Marigold Mile is a registered, one mile racing event along the Marigold Festival parade route, just before the parade begins on Saturday, September 7th. Runners can check in/register in the Vonderheide’s Floor Covering parking lot beginning at 9:00 AM. Runners will take off the 14th and Broadway starting point to kick off the parade at 10:00 AM sharp!

Not sure if you can make it one mile? Our youngest runner to complete the mile was 2 years old last year and our oldest was in his 80𝘴! WE 👏 KNOW 👏 YOU 👏 CAN 👏 DO 👏 IT 👏 And, Pekin’s parade enthusiasts will be cheering you all the way!
