Marigold Mile

The Marigold Mile is a registered, one mile racing event along the Marigold Festival parade route, just before the parade begins on Saturday, September 12th. Runners can check in/register in the Vonderheide’s Floor Covering parking lot beginning at 9:00 AM. Runners will take off the 14th and Broadway starting point to kick off the parade at 10:00 AM sharp! The finish line is in the 300 block of Court St.
Pop-Up Museum
"Everett Dirksen: America's Team Player"

From his time playing football in Pekin to his legacy of bipartisan statesmanship, this interactive exhibit features captivating storytelling and historical artifacts, showcasing the team spirit of the honorable Mr. Marigold himself. The pop-up museum, presented by The Dirksen Congressional Center, will be held inside the pavilion.
Cardboard Boat Race

Water Ski Show

Join us at the Lagoon for a water ski show performance, thanks to World of Powersports. Enjoy wakeboarding, barefooting, slow speed water ballet, and a water ski pyramid.
Lagoon Glow

Lanterns are available for a minimum donation of $10. You may purchase your floating lantern at the Pekin Area Chamber of Commerce, the Marigold Festival Info Booth, Merch Tent, Festival Committee Members, or at the event starting at 6pm. Personalize your lantern with waterproof markers (Sharpies work best). Write a memory or wish on your lantern, or honor a loved one.
Return your lantern to the Pekin Area Chamber of Commerce office by September 10th, drop it off at the information tent at the festival, or at the lagoon on the night of the Glow (Sept. 12). Launch time will begin around dusk, approximately 7:30pm. All proceeds will go to a local charity.
